Transperth trials USB charging on buses

18 July 2016

Ten new Transperth buses fitted with USB charging points have hit the streets of Perth.

Each of the ten buses are fitted with eight double USB points which passengers can use to charge their mobile devices while they travel. The points are fitted to the window frames of each bus meaning passengers are able to plug in their cable from their seat.

The buses are operating out of the Malaga, Palmyra and Welshpool depots.

Additionally, 26 charging points have been rolled out across the Perth, Perth Underground and Elizabeth Quay train stations.
