Developing Compassionate Communities

17 October 2017

You are invited to join us at the Compassionate Communities Symposium.

Compassionate Communities

The Compassionate Community approach recognises that care for one another at times of crisis and loss is not simply a task solely for health and social services but is everyone’s responsibility. This approach not only applies to palliative care, but also ageing and all those living with a disability or a life-limiting condition.

Why attend?

The Compassionate Communities Symposiums aim to provide a shared understanding of the concept and key principles of Compassionate Communities and gauge level of interest and capacity to develop this model in WA.

Who should attend?

Service providers, clinicians, practitioners, social workers, researchers, community development officers and educators across health, aged care, disability, government and community sector organisations. Importantly, we encourage carers, consumers, volunteers and other community members to participate.

When: METRO Symposium at the City of Melville on Friday, 3 November, 10.00am - 4.00pm
