Trees make a liveable street

6 December 2017

The Inner West Council in NSW has released a new short video that helps communicate the role that tress play in creating livable streets in our neighbourhoods.

Trees and other vegetation are an integral element of the urban environment and a vital urban asset providing a range of important economic, environmental and social benefits for the community.

The City of Melville’s recently launched Urban Forest Strategic Plan will give practical effect to the City's Urban Forest and Green Spaces Policy adopted in 2016. This strategic plan aims to protect, preserve and enhance the leafy character and visual amenity of the City and to support and sustain its natural biodiversity.
