Tuesday, 5 December 2017 marks International Volunteer Day. The day helps to recognise the positive impact volunteers make in their community and in other peoples lives. To celebrate Melville Volunteer Resource Centre (MVRC) will be featuring the amazing stories of volunteers in our community with a number of short films.
Meet Hayley, a volunteer at Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre (PLEEC). She volunteers with the Bush Crew that help with weeding, native tree and shrub planting and the general maintenance of PLEEC, as well as assisting in the environmental education programs that run out of PLEEC.
