Interchange Puppetry Show

16 June 2017

The Interchange Puppetry Show is the result of a 9-month Puppetry Workshop Program funded by the City of Melville's Community Partnership Funding.

Working with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, Interchange staff, volunteers and family members designed their own “life size” puppets, which have been developed to align with individuals’ interests and abilities.

Over the 9 months, participants have worked very hard, engaging in workshops to make the puppets and have collaboratively written a script. In the final stages of this program the participants will be performing their very own Puppetry Show.

The program was initiated to explore participants’ creative side and give them confidence to showcase their abilities. The workshops have provided a good opportunity for participants to learn to express themselves and to work together to achieve their goal.

There will be a slide show presentation on the program, followed by a live Puppetry show and light refreshments.

All are welcome.
